Flights "cancelled" by Lufthansa
A disaster from day one. Trying to get to Australia and original business flights dropped off internet via our booking reference (Lufthansa) on weekend. No alternative. Told to go back through travel agent.
Was not advised by either Lufthansa nor travel agent that the LON-SIN flights have dropped off. Qantas leg SIN-BNE listed as "cancelled". Fare was GBP5138 for 2, business class.
Found out when checking details (talking to mum). At the same time travel agent were advertising similar Lufthansa flights on their website with "cancelled" Lufthansa/Qantas sector (SIN-BNE) taken over by Singapore airlines. Said they couldnt swap my tickets over! What the? What about the whole Star Alliance network. This should have been easy! One sector of 6 cancelled and they cant sort it. Appalling in my view.
Told by Lufthansa that any flights on the day of flying (and two days either side) into Australia are now "fully booked". How can a confirmed, ticketed business class trip be cancelled and not rebooked using star alliance partners - and not let the customer know?. Where is the personal service here??? Where is compassion? Where is professional competence in ensuring that passengers are not just offloaded for others. Seriously...
Lufthansa referred me back to travel agent and didnt want to know and frankly I feel that this was appalling. In Covid times, I believe that in this case Covid has been a welcome excuse for brutal disregard for systemic incompetence. I have not been impressed by Lufthansa. I expected better.
And now I am up for even more money to get home. Only way one can get there with any comfort (ie. certainty to fly) is via business class fares and this is not ok. Even that (in our experience) has not ensured a flight....

Yet I have not received an answer to my most recent mail sent 4 months ago. Big minus for Lufthansa customer service. AVOID!

My flight was delayed so I couldn't catch the second one and had to stay in Munich for the night. They've provided a voucher to Hilton Hotel and dinner and breakfast. So far so good.
The next day after my return, I tried to get compensated based on the EU laws that is also described in their website.
After a lot of search on their website, I've basically found no useful data/form/contact to get compensated.
I tried calling them but no one answered in their working hours.
Then I wrote to customer.relations[at]lufthansa.com and the response was "we have already handed over to our service team,...", 10 days later, still no response.
I wrote to them 2 days ago again and still no response.
I give 2 stars, because their staff in the airplane were really nice, but their website and their customer support is awful.

I've called their CS again and this time they have answered. The support told me that I could ask for compensation via email (as I did) or by going through "Feed back-> flight disruptions" and then fill the form which I wasn't expecting.
I've told him about my case and he said that they are busy because of Corona and he cannot give me an ETA.

If you have any non standards question not listed in FAQ, in particular regarding a passed flights, sorry, you will never find answer or get in touch with a human on helpdesk. No phone number provided.

Excellent refund response. My Dubai flights for May/June 21 were rescheduled and a refund was given within a week. Thank you.
I am very unsatisfied and disappointed about how Lufthansa handles a very simple refund case.
On Dec, 15th last year, Mr. Samuel Cummings at Lufthansa's customer relations department informed me that he passed my refund case to the refund department but there has been 'NO' response during the past one and a half month while I continued asking Mr. Samuel Cummings about the progress by sending six emails to Mr. Samuel Cummings.
I have taken Lufthansa several times and they did not disappoint me but from now on, I feel like I don't want to recommend Lufthansa to anyone around me.
Please get back to me as soon as possible. My money should have been already refunded. Do not ask me to provide 'card statement' because I already gave it to Mr. Samuel Cummings. I have no idea what he is doing now.

Awful experience flying with Lufthansa and it was the first time ever. Useless staff in the customer relations department. I will try to keep it brief as it’s a long story.
I rebooked a flight due to being denied boarding on my original trip the day prior (my own fault due to ever changing COVID regulations, but staff at the airport were very rude and unsupportive). Telephoned Lufthansa and changed my booking to a new destination, the day after. I was assured that hold luggage was included. I arrive at the airport the day after. It takes Lufthansa between the desk staff and telephone support staff well over 2 hours to assign my new route to my ticket number, I very nearly missed my flight as a result of their useless and slow systems. Then at the last moment I’m told I have to pay for my luggage. I’d already paid a fare difference to change my booking and as I said I was assured that my hold luggage was included. I had no choice but to pay, or I really would have missed my flight.
I contacted customer relations and explained everything. They just will not refund the money from the luggage which in my view is completely unfair, because they told me over the phone that it was included.
I think their manner, professionality and trustworthiness is absolutely 0. I will never fly with them again, I can guarantee.
Just flew with them yesterday on my second trip to Berlin. I love love love their services. The meals are served in a very presentable manner with the cabin crew in tow to help you out in case of anything. The flight charges are also reasonable given the high level of service that one receives. It was an enjoyable flight
If i could get a negative then i would have. Absolutely rude, disgusting would not listen to me, and in the end they started to swear at me as well before just cutting the line. All i needed was some information for a flight i booked. And the answer i was given sorry cant help you with that, there is a reason why theres internet.

LH cancelled our fligths late june. Still no refund. They ask for understading and patience. I lost both 3 months ago...

Just book with delta, air france or klm and save yourself the headache of dealing with Lufthansa. Its definitely worth it to pay slightly more and not screw yourself over if anything goes wrong. These $#*!s also charge for luggage now even though their website says they dont and just about no international flights charges for your 1st 50 pound bag.
